Hand Therapy Program New England Rehabilitation Hospital's Hand Therapy program provides a comprehensive approach to impairments of the upper extremity. Our occupational therapists utilize a variety of modalities and splinting for pain relief and protection, patient education regarding usage, appropriate condition-specific exercises and techniques for modifying daily activities to promote wellness and reduce trauma. Our program provides quality care for a variety of orthopedic, neurological and cumulative trauma conditions, pre and post-operatively, in addition to specializing in therapy for osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Therapy begins with a thorough individualized evaluation. Therapists communicate regularly with primary care and referring physicians to ensure quality care and to promote success.
