PORTLAND, Maine - New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland presented several awards at their annual Employee Appreciation Day celebration held May 4, 2010. Sharon Hartl, occupational therapist, of Scarborough, received the Buzz Fitzgerald Award for her extraordinary care and kindness to rehabilitation patients and their families. The Buzz Fitzgerald Award was established by friends and family of Fitzgerald, who died in 2002 and was well respected statewide as the CEO of Bath Iron Works. Amy Morse, CEO, stated “Sharon is an excellent clinician and like Buzz Fitzgerald, an amazing visionary and leader.”
