General Information
We encourage patients to wear their own clothing during their stay:
- Pants and/or shorts with elastic waist bands
- T-shirts and/or long sleeve tees
- Button down shirts
- Under garments: bras, undershirts, briefs, boxers
- Socks (cotton)
- Sneakers
- Slippers with rubber sole
- Night clothes: pajama pants, nightgowns
- Bathrobe/Housecoat
- Sweater/Sweatshirt
- Seasonal Jacket
- Toiletries - if you prefer to use your own. NERHP does provide toiletries as needed.
Please note that throughout the patient's stay, family is responsible for (the patient's) personal laundry. With the exception of small personal items (i.e., electric razor) and a few dollars for reading materials, all other valuables should be given to family members for safekeeping. New England Rehabilitation Hospital cannot be responsible for lost, stolen and/or damaged items.
New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland is a smoke free facility. There is no smoking permitted in the facility or on the grounds.
